Oh me, oh well.

Fri Jul 24, 2009, 7:04 AM
Because Mr Cookie Monster, also known as Our GM, fllnthblnk, loves learning about other people. So, for B.

10 Things I Wish I Could Say to People (this part is pretty hard because of my shyness and the terribly huge feeling People deserve to do what they want to do, and it's not my thing to come and say "For Christ's sake, do something with yourself!", I developed a system of saying "Listen, buddy, there's something you should consider..." only if I know somebody for years, am REALLY sure I can say something or am quite irritated. But let's give it some time...):

1. I know you are depressed, but look. Sometimes you just think about your problems too much and too hard. I see it's hard, I understand I am not the best person to tell you that but my life seems better without pitying myself. A bit.
2. I still cannot decide whether I like you or not. It is so nice when I hear your "Hey, dear!" but your self-confidence makes me feel small.
3. Think about your life, not mine.
4. I just don't believe you, hope you don't mind.
5. Wanna read?
6. I'm stupid, I'm lost, I don't know what the hell I'm doing.
7. Sorry!
8. Give me some time to feel I am really myself, alright?
9. Wanna chocolate?
10. I need some contact with you.
This one is especially difficult. I am not sociable at all but have moments when I'd like to see a new SMS or a Skype message but people are not interested and when they suddenly are, some time later, I am not.

Nine things about myself:

1. I am quite shy and pretty sarcastic at the same time and (as I have written before) don't like giving people advice or tell them what I think about them because I am afraid I can say an unappropriate thing. That's why most people are sure deeply in my heart I have some unpleasant thoughts about them. That's not true, guys, really!

2. I am not religious but I don't understand all those atheists saying e.g. Catholics should be exterminated. I agree the problem in Poland is that more than 90% of society are Catholics, and many of them really untolerant, but come on.

3. I have a few guilty pleasures, including "SpongeBob" (but I have two pairs of underwear with SB my aunt bought me in London and they are pure perfection), "Scrubs" (I am a strange mix of JD and Elliot) and "Rockefeller Plaza 30."

4. However, except of those and films I am able to watch now because of summertime, I don't really like TV and don't have time for it. If I am alone at home, I choose books or MTV2, even not for videos.

5. If I have time and proper people, I become scrabble addicted.

6. I don't know a lot about movies (lack of time) but I love going to the cinemas, even to see boring films. I start creating reviews at once or, if the one I am watching is uninteresting, think how I would improve the story.

7. I am music addict. Now it's alternative (God, I have grown up surrounded by such music) but a few years ago it used to be jazz. However, I know nothing at all about jazz, except pop jazz. In general, I listen to about 30 albums a month since December and still cry I am terribly unexperienced.

8. "I think smoking is absolutely disgusting and hate it when people light up around me. It also makes me mad when people smoke around children and infants -- I have to stop myself from speaking my mind and causing a scene," Bill wrote. Yes, yes, yes.

9. I am ambitious. Too ambitious.

Eight ways to win my heart:

1. Boring. Being intelligent with a bit of irony.
2. Boring. Being open-minded.
3. Boring. Having a sense of humour.
4. Less boring. I love when boys have something we call "britpop style."
5. Listening skills (I am really talkative. People say I also have ls but that's bullshit, I am an egoist and still feel I didn't get all somebody had meant to tell me).
6. Long hair, dark blue jeans and Converse (I didn't say I am original).
7. Knowing when to leave me alone.
8. Being a chocolate addict (as a friend of mine used to say, there is noting worse than meeting with somebody, buying a bar of chocolate, talking, telling a person "Help yourself" and ending with two pieces eaten by your partner, who "Doesn't want to be unkind", and the rest by you).

Seven things that cross my mind a lot:

1. Pieces of music, music, music, music.
2. How much I'd like to get an idea for a good text. Or a story in general.
3. Other people.
4. Quotations and lyrics, words, words, words.
5. Deaths, murders and suicides (don't worry, I just like Stephen King and Agatha Christie + I know one boy whose love to a black humour is just charming).
6. Learning.
7. Family problems.
8. Whether I didn't forget about anything.

Six things I do before I fall asleep:

1. Listening to music on my iPod while lying in bed.
2. Drinking water.
3. Checking dA, last.fm, blog, Soup.io...
4. Reading.
5. Editing other people's texts, making notes.
6. Thinking. And crying sometimes, I like the feeling of catharsis it gives me.

Five places I want to visit:

1. Japan.
2. England, England, England (Ireland was really fine, but still...)!
3. Finland (I was just in the capital city).
4. India.
5. Spain.

Four things I'm wearing right now:

1. T-shirt with a logo of my school.
2. Jeans.
3. White pants.
4. Sandals.

Three bands that I listen to often:
That's really hard.

1. Beck (but he plays with friends, so...).
2. Blur (Damon Albarn solo or as a part of Gorillaz/The Good, the Bad and the Queen and Graham Coxon are also welcome).
3. The White Stripes (and all other White's projects).

Two things I want to do before I die:

1. Get a book published.
2. Feel entirely independent.

One confession:

1. I'm strange.
And a confession for today is that I'm a redhead blonde.

It is still good piece of advice, really. I especially enjoyed the fact it was so concise. Concise article about concise fiction, yeah! :aww:
